Part II, Chapter 6: Summer
Except for fast-moving weather systems, the problems of summer are not much different in the North than the South. This makes summer the best season for a first visit by those who live in the Lower 48, and the period between June 1st and August 15th will provide the optimum combination of warm weather and good flying conditions. Keep in mind that since weather systems are fast-moving, waiting out weather problems works very well and is recommended.
